Youth Mental Health Care and Education

Antigua and Barbuda Holistic Coalition, Inc. (ABHC) is a non-governmental organisation designed to build health equity for all through partnerships and coalitions.

 

In the last two years, ABHC delivered over 10 [FREE] workshops and webinars sessions with our own funding and a 2023 donation towards our Scholarship Program. We delivered these services throughout the communities involving:

  • Schools and Camps

  • Community Based Wellness Expos

  • Parents

  • Workplace

  • Religious Institutions

  • Academic Institutions

We are seeking your generous contributions to continue our initiatives through funding our Scholarship Program dedicated to improving mental health care and education for youth. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to children aged 6 and older, ensuring they have access to essential mental health counseling, psychological and psychiatric evaluations for learning disabilities, Autism, and other brain disorders.

 

Additionally, your donations will help support social-emotional learning workshops designed to promote healthy development and positive behavior.

Program Goals

  • Long Term-reduce emergent youth psychological occurrences and recidivism of youth judicial engagement to improve mental well-being of youths in Antigua and Barbuda.

  • Short Term-weaken overall mental health stigmas so to remove barriers to seeking mental healthcare in Antigua and Barbuda.

​

Program Objective

  • To provide youths and young adults funding for mental health services and/or psychotropic medication to minimize gaps in services and healthy management of mental health symptoms.

Application is Closed-Check Back For Additional Funding

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Must be age 6 to 26

  • Must be a National & Resident

  • Parent/Guardian submit application for child under 16

HOW WILL I GET FUNDS?

  • Funds will be reimbursed to a Licensed or Registered mental health professional OR

  • Registered mental health counselling Company in Antigua and Barbuda

IS THIS CONFIDENTIAL?

  • Private Health Information is held securely within a HIPAA compliant system

  • Private Health Information is not shared with the public
